We've almost made it through the first week of June, ladies and gentlemen. And, hey, we even had some stories for your reading pleasure yesterday!
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-The folks from the mothership at SB Nation put together their All-Sophomore team for 2014. There's one member of the Minnesota Vikings on it.
-Over at Pro Football Focus, they took a look at the Vikings' depth chart. Some of it isn't as ugly as you might assume. . .then again, some of it is.
-NFL.com has named Vikings running back Adrian Peterson as the league's most indispensable offensive player. Non-quarterback category, anyway.
-There's a new football league on the horizon for this fall, and it might pave the way for the NFL having a developmental league.
From some other sites across the internet. . .
-The Vikings will report to Mankato for training camp on 24 July, with the first full-squad practice set for the 25th. So, just 49 days until everyone reports! Will we be there? Does an ursus Americanus defecate in a heavily wooded area?
-Christian Ponder says he "didn't expect" the Vikings to pick up his fifth-year option. You don't say.
-The Vikings will have the traditional Norseman logo at midfield at TCF Bank Stadium the next couple of seasons.
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.
Keeping this week's musical theme going. . .
TURTLE POWER!
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday, folks. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll have more for you later on.
