Adrian Peterson Is Just Like Us. Sort Of.

Yep, it's another video from TMZ. But I think that folks will find this one to be a little more entertaining, and it shows a. . .dare I say it. . .more human side of the NFL's best running back.

(No, Shady McCoy, still not talking about you.)

The TMZ folks got an opportunity to talk to Adrian Peterson, and the topic was television shows. (Because, you know, that's the first thing I'd ask the man about if I talked to him.) As it turns out, AD is a big fan of a show called Devious Maids.

On Lifetime. You know. . ."Television for Women?"

In his defense, apparently his girlfriend has gotten him into the show, and I think that's something most of us can relate to. Pretty much every guy that's either married or in a long-term relationship has gone through the following scenario.

"Hey, sweetheart, what are you watching?"

"It's a movie on Lifetime."

"Oh, one of those. . .what's it called?"

"Ummmmm. . .pushes remote button. . .it's called I Murdered My Husband But It's Okay Because He Was a Cheating Bastard: The Fawn Lebowitz Story"

"Hey, isn't that Valerie Bertinelli?"

"Yeah, she plays the. . ."

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand you're on the couch.

(Half of you are nodding in agreement, and the other half of you are lying.)

So, you know, Adrian Peterson has to do things to make his better half happy as well. In a way, that makes him just like all of us. It's just that, the other 99% of the time, he's way cooler.
