2015 NFL Draft Won't Be At Radio City Music Hall

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

The 2015 NFL Draft will be held at a new location.

Officials for Radio City Music Hall in New York City have informed the National Football League that the spot that has hosted the NFL Draft since 2006 will not be available to host in April or May of 2015, so the search is now on for a new location. And if the rumors are true, the draft will take place in a new city as well, taking the selection meeting out of the city that has hosted it since 1965.

So far, cities like Chicago and Los Angeles have been bandied about as locations, but according to NFL.com, as many as twelve different cities have expressed interest. The league has sent letters to Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York asking them for further details.

Oh, and the potential dates for the 2015 NFL Draft? Either 22 April - 25 April or 29 April - 2 May.

Unless my math is off, that's a four-day draft extravaganza instead of the three-day party we've gotten over the past few years since the league moved the first round into prime time.

So, the 2015 NFL Draft is going to look a little different. And, at this point, we don't even know where it's going to be held yet.
