Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 7/11

NORV~!
NORV~!
Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

It's 7/11, ladies and gentlemen. . .we will not be giving away free Slurpees™, but I'm sure you can find somewhere else to provide you with that sort of thing. Oh, and we're just two weeks away from the first practice of Training Camp and all of the killer coverage we'll be providing from there. So we've got that going for us. . .which is nice.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-The latest episode of Norse Code is ready and available for your listening pleasure.

-Our humble little corner of the internet celebrated its eighth birthday yesterday. Just ten more years and we'll be of voting age.

-The NFL Network finalized their Top 100 list, and Adrian Peterson was right about where he should be at #4.

From some other corners of the internet. . .

-Former Minnesota Vikings center Matt Birk has been named the NFL's Director of Football Development.

-If you'd like to meet some former Vikings, including Mick Tingelhoff, make your way to Monticello on Saturday.

-The loser that (probably) murdered Adrian Peterson's son said the child choked to death on fruit snacks. Fruit snacks that cause massive head trauma, apparently.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

One last Cinema Sins video for this week. We'll go with a classic this time.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Friday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
