Adrian Peterson Top Rated Running Back In Madden NFL '15

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

"How completely and utterly surprising," said nobody with so much as an iota of common sense.

The folks from Electronic Arts are going to be releasing ratings for various position groups in Madden NFL '15 throughout the next couple of weeks, and our friends over at PastaPadre have the ratings for the top running backs for your viewing pleasure.

(And the quarterbacks, too. But really, at this point, who cares about that, am I right?)

As should have been expected, Minnesota Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson is the top-rated player in the game at his position, posting an overall rating of 98. LeSean McCoy and Jamaal Charles are both just one point behind Peterson at 97, while Matt Forte and Marshawn Lynch both rated a 95.

Not only that, but the Vikings have one of the game's five best fullbacks, as Jerome Felton was rated as an 88 overall. I get that the fullback position is a bit of a dying breed in the National Football League, but Felton is still awfully good at what he does, so his being up there shouldn't come as a huge surprise.

We'll continue to keep an eye on these ratings as Electronic Arts releases them.
