The Minnesota Vikings made a couple of different roster moves on this first morning of Training Camp.
The team has placed three players on the Physically Unable to Perform List. Tight end Chase Ford was placed on PUP, as we mentioned yesterday, and he's been joined by safety Andrew Sendejo and. . .in the most surprising bit of news. . .cornerback Captain Munnerlyn. Munnerlyn is having an issue with his hamstring, while Sendejo's injury involves his lower back. According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, neither Sendejo nor Munnerlyn will miss a significant amount of time.
The team also released two players and signed two more. The players that they released were wide receiver Josh Cooper and offensive tackle Matt Hall. In their place, the team signed wide receivers Andy Cruse and Ty Walker. Walker has spent time with the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers, while Cruse has spent some time with the Houston Texans. I don't know a whole lot else about either Cruse or Walker, but Arif has a nice write-up on both of them over at Vikings Territory.
We've got all sorts of good stuff coming this afternoon when the Vikings have their second practice of the day, so make sure to stay tuned for that. We hope you're enjoying everything so far!
