Welcome to Thursday, ladies and gentlemen, and just two days away from the Minnesota Vikings' second contest of the 2014 pre-season.

Yesterday, Ted gave us some things to look for during that match-up, and CCNorseman had a bit about the NFL's blackout rule (that he's going to follow up with before too much longer here).

From some other spots across the internet. . .

-Former linebacker E.J. Henderson has returned to the Vikings. . .but as a part of the front office.

-Three members of the Arizona Cardinals are native Minnesotans, and they'll be making the trip to the Twin Cities this weekend.

-Linebacker Dom DeCicco will be having hip surgery. No word on when he will return.

-Over at Vikings Territory, they take a look at Mike Zimmer's focus on "process over outcome."

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

For today's video, this has been in my head since the other day when a few folks got into a Limp Bizkit discussion in the Open Thread. Well, the song has been, anyway. . .the video is slightly different. (Consider that a warning.)

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
