Preseason football is once again nearly upon us as the Vikings close out the home portion of their preseason schedule against the Arizona Cardinals at TCF Stadium on Saturday night. Like the Vikings, the Cardinals won their preseason opener by shellacking the Houston Texans by a score of 32-0. After finishing 10-6 in the toughest division in football and barely missing the playoffs, there is a lot to be hopeful about in Arizona. But was last year's surprise season an anomaly or are the Cardinals poised to take the next step in the NFC West?
I chatted with Jess Root, Editor-in-Chief of Cardinals site Revenge of the Birds, about what he thinks of his team's chances in 2014 as well as what we should look for with the Cardinals on Saturday.
Well actually I should shouldn't say "chatted"--the more accurate statement would be "still chatting".
