Minnesota Vikings Fairly Healthy Going Into Saturday's Game

Hannah Foslien

Going into the "all-important" third pre-season game on Saturday night against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Minnesota Vikings appear to be relatively healthy. It appears that there are only four players on the 90-man roster that will not be healthy enough to play tomorrow night at Arrowhead Stadium.

Defensive tackle Linval Joseph will miss his second consecutive pre-season contest, as he's still recovering from the injury he suffered after being hit by a stray bullet at a nightclub following the Vikings' first pre-season game. His absence, according to ESPN's Ben Goessling, is going to open up more opportunities for seventh-round pick Shamar Stephen, who is firmly on the bubble to make the roster.

Jabari Price, another seventh-round pick that's on the bubble for a roster spot, will also miss Saturday's game, as he suffered an ankle injury during Minnesota's 30-28 victory over the Arizona Cardinals last week.

A pair of linebackers will also be watching the third pre-season game from the sidelines. Gerald Hodges will miss the game with a knee injury, while rookie Brandon Watts is out with a non-specified "leg injury."

Other than that, the only player that will definitely not be playing on Saturday is Adrian Peterson, which we've already covered.

Hopefully the Vikings can keep their relative good health through Saturday's game, as well as Thursday's game against the Tennessee Titans.
