Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 8/26

Good morning, everybody, and welcome to your Tuesday Open Thread. We're just a couple of days away from the pre-season finale, as well as learning who will comprise the final 53-man roster for the Minnesota Vikings.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Teddy Bridgewater may not have been named the starting quarterback for the Vikings, but his supporters aren't going away.

-The Vikings made most of their cuts yesterday, but still have to make another move or two before 3 PM Central time.

-And, as you probably already gathered from the first link, Matt Cassel was named the starting quarterback for Week 1 against the St. Louis Rams.

From some other sources around the interwebs. . .

-It appears the only positions left to be decided for the Vikings are middle linebacker and safety.

-Bridgewater thinks that he's in the perfect situation.

-The Vikings will be helping to provide athletic trainers for high schools in the Twin Cities area.
