New England Patriots at Minnesota Vikings: Final Injury Reports

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

It's Friday, ladies and gentlemen, and Friday means injury report day around the NFL for Sunday's games. The New England Patriots and the Minnesota Vikings are no difference, so let's take a look at what we have on both sides.

We'll start, as we always do, with the visiting team. Here is the Patriots' injury report.

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Michael Buchanan DL Ankle Questionable
Jamie Collins LB Thigh Questionable
Chris Jones DT Knee Questionable
Sealver Siliga DT Hand Questionable
Ryan Wendell OL Knee Questionable
Rob Gronkowski TE Knee Probable

Gronk hurt knee last season. Gronk rehab. Gronk play Week 1. Gronk play against Vikings. Everyone on the Patriots' injury list is listed as having "limited participation" in Friday's practice except for Collins, who is listed as "did not practice" after being limited on Thursday.

And now, let's take a look at the Minnesota Vikings' injury report, which is a bit longer than New England's.

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Brandon Watts LB Knee Out
Sharrif Floyd DT Shoulder Questionable
Xavier Rhodes CB Groin Questionable
Rodney Smith WR Hamstring Questionable
Mike Harris OL Shoulder Probable
Charlie Johnson G Ankle Probable
Zach Line FB Ankle Probable
Michael Mauti LB Foot Probable
Adrian Peterson RB Non-Injury Probable
Jabari Price CB Hamstring Probable

Obviously, the most concerning names on this list are Rhodes and Floyd. The two defensive starters were both limited in practice on Friday (as was Smith), and look to be game-time decisions on Sunday. Peterson is on the list because he got a day off on Thursday, and per league rules has to be listed on the injury report as a result. He's perfectly fine. Everyone that is listed as "probable" on the injury report was a full participant in practice on Friday.

And there are your injury reports for both the New England Patriots and Minnesota Vikings for this Sunday's contest. We'll have more on this game leading up to kickoff on Sunday afternoon.
