Minnesota Vikings Looking To Hire Law Firm?

Trevor Ruszkowksi-USA TODAY Spor

WHAT I DID THERE. . .DID YOU SEE IT!?

In the wake of everything that has happened to the Minnesota Vikings over the past few days, it appears that the team is looking to potentially add another running back to the roster. According to our friends at Cincy Jungle (along with various other sources), the team has been looking into the possibility of adding veteran running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis. . .known as "The Law Firm". . .to the roster.

Green-Ellis has been in the NFL since 2008, debuting with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent. After four years in New England, he had spent the past two years with the Cincinnati Bengals. Last season, he rushed for over 750 yards, but only averaged 3.4 yards/carry. (Though it should be noted that he found the end zone seven times.) This pre-season, the work of second year back Giovanni Bernard and rookie Jeremy Hill made him expendable, and he's still looking for work.

The Vikings currently have a roster spot open, and the thought is that the spot might remain open until after Sunday's game in New Orleans when receiver Jerome Simpson will be eligible to come back. It seems weird that a team would just leave a roster spot open like that, but it's a possibility.
