Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 9/19

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

We've made it to the end of the week. Usually that means something but. . .well, we all remember what happened last Friday, don't we?

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Ted brought us a few things to look for when the Minnesota Vikings actually play football this weekend against the New Orleans Saints.

-The team might be looking into the availability of former Patriots and Bengals running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis.

-Yesterday was Thursday, which must mean that Jerome Simpson managed to do something stupid.

-We've gotten another transmission from the Bridgewater Underground.

-Eric sat down with the folks from Canal Street Chronicles to take a look at this weekend's game.

-Mark has his weekly look at which college football players you should be keeping an eye on this weekend.

-Eric also has his picks column in for this week.

-CCNorseman has some reasons why quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is still sitting on the bench.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've always been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (using spoiler tags if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

For today's entertainment, let's go with this.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Friday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
