Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints: Final Injury Reports

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Sorry we're a bit later than usual in getting these out. The Saints' official report took quite a while to get out for some reason.

The final injury reports are out for this Sunday's game between the Minnesota Vikings and the New Orleans Saints. Let's take a look at the report for both teams, starting with the visitors as we always do.

Minnesota Vikings

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Chad Greenway LB Hand/Rib Questionable
Rodney Smith WR Hamstring Questionable
Brandon Watts LB Knee Questionable
Sharrif Floyd DT Shoulder Probable
Phil Loadholt OT Ankle Probable
Michael Mauti LB Foot Probable
Cordarrelle Patterson WR Chest Probable
Xavier Rhodes CB Groin Probable
Kyle Rudolph TE Abdomen Probable

Greenway will be evaluated throughout the weekend, and will be a game-time decision on Sunday. He's the only one of the starters that is in doubt for Sunday's game. Mauti, a New Orleans native, has been told that he will be active and on all four special teams units.

And now, on to the home team.

New Orleans Saints

Player Position Injury Sunday Status
Marcus Ball S Hamstring Out
David Hawthorne LB Ankle Out
Mark Ingram RB Hand Out
Erik Lorig FB Ankle Out
Jonathan Goodwin C Elbow Probable
Kyle Knox LB Ankle Probable
Curtis Lofton LB Shoulder Probable

Ingram's injury is likely going to mean more work for Pierre Thomas, which is probably better for the Saints anyway. Not a whole lot of middle ground on the New Orleans injury report. . .either you're not playing, or you're probable.

And those are your final injury reports for the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints leading up to Sunday afternoon's game. Be sure to keep checking this site for any more news prior to game time.
