Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 9/22

Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Yes, we've reached another Monday, ladies and gentlemen. Get it on, got to get it on, no choice but to get it on.

The main story from over the weekend was, obviously, the Minnesota Vikings falling to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon by a final score of 20-9. The game saw the debut of rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater for the Vikings, as starter Matt Cassel went down awkwardly on a scramble play and broke several bones in his foot. There still has not been any word on the full extent of Cassel's injury, nor has there been any sort of timetable for his return. However, it looks like the Teddy Bridgewater era is fully underway in Minnesota.

Ted has his Stock Market Report up, as well as a final transmission from the Bridgewater Underground.

If you're looking for other recaps/perspectives on the game, there are lots of them out there on our vast interwebs today. You know the usual suspects.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

For today's entertainment. . .this is about the best I could think of.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Monday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
