Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 9/24

Adam Bettcher

It should be safe to post everyone's favorite camel this week, though I wouldn't be surprised if some of the resident trolls have placed a bounty on it.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Offensive tackle Matt Kalil has had an abysmal season by just about any measure, but he still has some pretty staunch defenders.

-The Minnesota Vikings are continuing a downward trend in this week's NFL Power Rankings.

-Di is soliciting questions for this week's Daily Norseman Mailbag. You can ask them either on Twitter or in the comments of the post there.

-We've started our stream for coverage of this weekend's game against the Atlanta Falcons with a look back at the history between the two teams.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-The Falcons are the first team in the NFL that has to be ready for Teddy.

-Linebacker Gerald Hodges had a very good game last week against the Bounty Hunters.

-It's going to be a homecoming of sorts for Falcons' defensive lineman Ra'Shede Hageman, who played his college ball at TCF Bank Stadium.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the language relatively clean (with spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.

Today's entertainment, for the uninitiated, is what an actual German suplex looks like.

Apparently some folks out there aren't entirely aware what "suplex" really means.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
