Happy Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. The NFL week gets started this evening when the New York Giants take on the Washington Redskins (who the Minnesota Vikings will be seeing later this year) on Thursday Night Football. Hey, what else is on Thursday nights, am I right?
Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .
-Di answered the questions that everyone submitted for her second installment of the DN Mailbag.
-The smart guys in Las Vegas have their take on how they think Teddy Bridgewater will do in his first NFL start.
-Our friends at the mothership took a little bit of time to break down our new quarterback.
-The team's day got off to a rip-roaring start on Wednesday, as the team put starting guard Brandon Fusco and quarterback Matt Cassel on injured reserve.
From some other sources around the internet. . .
-Chad Greenway, Linval Joseph, and Josh Robinson sat out of practice on Wednesday, and Harrison Smith was limited.
-Head coach Mike Zimmer is not quite as down on left tackle Matt Kalil as a lot of others (myself included) seem to be.
-Speaking of the offensive line, it appears that Vladimir Ducasse. . .and not Joe Berger. . .will be the one with the first chance of replacing Fusco at right guard.
The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the GIFs relatively work-safe.
Your entertainment for today. 99% positive I've used this clip before, but who cares. . .it's awesome.
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday. Enjoy the rest of your day!
