Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 1/12

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Monday. The divisional round of the playoffs is in the books, with one team getting thoroughly violated like the new guy at Shawshank Prison (it's okay, Cowboys fans. . .I'm sure there's a shiny apology letter coming from the league, like that matters), and only one lower seed making the final four.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-Offensive coordinator Norv Turner gave some credit to wide receiver Charles Johnson for the improvement in the Minnesota Vikings' offense late in the season.

-The Vikings might be the leaders in the clubhouse to sign Duron Carter, son of former Vikings' great Cris Carter.

-We have yet another Teddy Bridgewater highlight video for your viewing pleasure.

-Speaking of Bridgewater, CCNorseman decided that we should talk about him even more. Hard to disagree with him.

There wasn't a whole lot else going on around Viking-land this weekend, so we'll leave it at that for now.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized.

Today's musical entertainment for your listening/viewing pleasure.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Monday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day!
