College Football Playoff National Championship Open Thread

The first ever college football playoff concludes tonight. Come join us here.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

The college football season concludes in just a little under an hour, as Ohio State (WOOOOOOOOOO) meets Oregon in the first ever college football playoff championship game.

Ohio State, who won the Big Ten, was written off in early September after an embarrassing home loss to Virginia Tech. Since then, they rallied, and it culminated with a win over Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game, and then a Sugar Bowl win over Alabama in the semifinals.

Oregon also stumbled early, losing to Arizona. But they also regrouped, rolled through the rest of their schedule, and it propelled QB Marcus Mariota to the Heisman trophy. They were equally impressive in their conference championship game and the Rose Bowl, and now it all comes down to one game.

So, who ya got? Oregon, or Ohio State? There's no truth to the rumor that one of the moderators on this board is a huge Ohio State fan and will ban all Oregon fans, none. Possibly. Maybe.

Anyway, whether you're a Duck or a Buckeye, or just want to talk college football with other Vikings fans and talk draft, enjoy the game right here with fellow Vikings fans.

Go Bucks, beat Oregon. (Sorry guys, can't help it.).
