2015 NFL Mock Draft: A New Name At Receiver For The Vikings?

Tommy Gilligan-USA TODAY Sports

Dan Kadar and the folks from SB Nation's Mocking the Draft have released their latest mock for the 2015 NFL Draft. In this version of the draft, they have the Minnesota Vikings taking a player that they haven't been connected to very much in West Virginia wide receiver Kevin White.

Here's what they have to say about the selection.

Even if Cooper and Parker are taken before Minnesota comes up in the first round, the Vikings still have options at wide receiver. White is a big talent who some are starting compare to Julio Jones, in terms of skill set. He would come in and immediately give the Vikings a lead receiver who can stretch the field.

As they said, both Amari Cooper of Alabama and DeVante Parker of Louisville were both off the board before the Vikings made their selection in this scenario. If you're not all that familiar with White, here's a quick video for your viewing pleasure. (Might want to watch it with the sound off, since there some questionable lyrics. There's your warning.)

White has pretty decent size, measuring in at around 6'3" and 210 pounds. He had 109 receptions for 1,447 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Mountaineers this season.

A comparison to a guy the caliber of Julio Jones is a lofty one, to be sure. He was clearly productive at the college level, but we know that doesn't always translate to the big time. Still, if the Vikings are in the market for a wide receiver early on in this year's draft. . .and I'm not 100% sure of whether or not they should be. . .White is a guy that could definitely be a consideration.
