The NFC's representative in Super Bowl XLIV will be determined in Seattle this afternoon, as the defending world champion Seattle Seahawks play host to the Green Bay Packers.

These two teams matched up in Week 1 of the NFL season at the same location, with the Seahawks coming away with a 20-point victory. And, I'm not sure if you've heard anything about this or not, but Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers is playing with an injured calf muscle. Seattle's defense has rounded back into form in the latter part of this season, and with a wet, sloppy track at CenturyLink Field today, it's hard for me to envision the Packers getting too much in the way of offense with a gimpy Rodgers running the show. I expect Seattle to be heading to Arizona to defend their championship in two weeks time.

We're still a couple of hours away from kickoff (because I don't know how the heck to do a time conversion, apparently). The thread for the AFC game will be up at around 5 PM Central time. In the meantime, enjoy the game!
