The other half of the Super Bowl XLIV equation will be decided in Foxboro, as the Indianapolis Colts travel to take on the AFC's top seed, the New England Patriots.
The Colts are coming off of an upset of the Denver Broncos last week. . .a game in which Peyton Manning appeared to be aging right before our eyes. Tom Brady appears to be pretty healthy and, just as importantly, so does tight end Rob Gronkowski. The Colts have a big task ahead of them in stopping that combination. Someday, Colts' quarterback Andrew Luck is going to be the guy that's routinely in situations like this one, but his team is going up against an all-timer in this one, and I'm not sure if they're going to have what it takes to pull this one out.
Then again, I didn't expect the Colts to be in this game in the first place, so what the heck do I know?
Kickoff from Foxboro is coming in approximately 30 minutes, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the game. . .there's only one meaningful one left after this one for the next six or seven months.
