Minnesota Vikings News And Notes, 23 January

It was a pretty busy day with our favorite franchise

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

Well kids, we've made it to the end of another week. I hope your Friday goes fast, and the weekend goes safe and slow. Since last we brought you an open thread:

Di Murphy and I recorded episode 2 of Roughing The Podcast. Go to the link to listen, and we have links to download the show from iTunes or Stitcher radio there.

A significant piece of Vikings history was lost yesterday with the passing of Tommy Mason.

More bad NFL lip reading is back.

And Mel Kiper, Jr re-graded the 2014 Vikings draft.

From elsewhere around the web:

Pat Reusse had a nice piece on Tommy Mason back in 2007, and it's right here. For those of you that don't know how important Mason is in the history of this franchise, please take a moment to read. Mason was kind of Chuck Foreman before Chuck Foreman, but knee injuries cut his career short.

With that, we'll call it good. Our open thread rules are the same: No politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to minimum, and keep the GIF's/pictures safe for work.

The beer light is on and the bar is open. It's Friday, we know you're going to be unproductive at why not be unproductive here?
