The second day of Wild Card weekend kicks off with an AFC matchup between two up-and-down teams as the Cincinnati Bengals take on the Indianapolis Colts.
These two teams met once before this season, with the Bengals getting pantsed by the Colts to the tune of 27-0. As was the case in that game, the Bengals will come into this one without all-world wide receiver A.J. Green, and Andy Dalton struggled without Green in the first matchup. He threw for only 126 yards as the Bengals were unable to get anything going offensively.
The Indianapolis defense is suspect, having gotten 40+ points dropped on them on three separate occasions this season, including a 42-7 loss to the Dallas Cowboys just a couple of weeks ago. Still, without Green to worry about, the Colts can probably do enough to pull this one out.
The winner of this one gets a trip to Denver next Sunday, as the Baltimore Ravens have already locked up a trip to New England on Saturday by virtue of being the lowest remaining seed in the AFC with their victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers last night.
Enjoy the game, ladies and gentlemen, and we'll have an Open Thread up for the NFC matchup at around 3 PM Central time.
