Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 1/5

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the first Monday of 2015. Yes, everybody has to get back to work and back in the saddle starting today (well, most of us, I'm assuming), but just like always, we're here for you.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-CCNorseman made the case for the Minnesota Vikings not bringing back Adrian Peterson.

-The National Football League screwed up again by lifting the suspension of Detroit Lions' defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh.

-Ted put together some preliminary thoughts on the 2015 NFL Draft.

-Rookie cornerback Jabari Price made sure the Vikings ended the old year/started the new one in fairly familiar territory.

-The Vikings probably won't have to worry about signing too many of their own free agents.

-The pass from Teddy Bridgewater to Jarius Wright that beat the New York Jets was nominated by for consideration for their Play of the Year.

From some other sources around the interwebs. . .

-Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson says that if he could do the 2014 season over. . .he wouldn't change anything. Yikes.

-There's more optimism for Bridgewater, and it comes from ESPN's QBR ratings.

-The Vikings didn't have anybody named an All-Pro this year, and only two members of the team even received votes.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've always been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized.

For today's entertainment, I'm pretty sure I've used this song before, but it's been in my head all day, and it should be in yours, too.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Monday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll be back with more later on.
