Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 1/7

Darryl Norenberg-USA TODAY Sports

Hooray for Wednesday! If we were still in the regular season, we'd probably have football to watch tomorrow. . .but we're not.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-We brought you some site statistics for 2014, including the people who had the most comments, FanPosts, and FanShots.

-CCNorseman took a look at the biggest needs for the Minnesota Vikings as we move forward into the off-season.

-Teddy Bridgewater is among the nominees for the Pepsi Rookie of the Year Award at

-The Jacksonville Jaguars have reportedly contacted the Vikings about interviewing running backs coach Kirby Wilson for their offensive coordinator position.

From some other sources across the interwebs. . .

-The guy that will be in charge of running the new Vikings' stadium comes to the team from WWE.

-The sack of garbage that (probably) beat Adrian Peterson's son to death has violated his bond. Shocking.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized.

For your listening pleasure today.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Wednesday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll have more for you later!
