This past week, two members of the Minnesota Vikings were nominated for the Pepsi Rookie of the Week Award over at NFL.com. One of those two was named the winner of the award on Friday.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs beat out linebacker Eric Kendricks and three other nominees to win the award for Week 6 of the 2015 NFL season.

Diggs, in just his second NFL game, put up seven receptions for 129 yards in Minnesota's 16-10 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium. Six of the seven passes that Diggs caught went for first downs.

Diggs is the fifth different member of the Vikings to win the Pepsi Rookie of the Week Award, according to the Vikings' team website. The first was running back Mewelde Moore, who won the award in Week 7 of the 2004 season. Adrian Peterson won the award twice in 2007, Percy Harvin collected it twice in 2009, and Teddy Bridgewater was named the winner twice in 2014.

Congratulations to Stefon Diggs on being named the Week 6 winner of the Pepsi Rookie of the Week Award. Hopefully, like the three players that won it before him, he can at least double up on the award this season.
