We've got less than ninety minutes to go before kickoff at Ford Field in Detroit, ladies and gentlemen, as the Minnesota Vikings get set to square off against the Detroit Lions for the second time this season. Both teams have released their inactive lists for this afternoon's contest, so let's see who will be sitting this one out. We'll start, as we always do, with the visiting team.
Minnesota Vikings
C Nick Easton
DT Sharrif Floyd
TE Chase Ford
QB Taylor Heinicke
CB Jabari Price
OL Jeremiah Sirles
DE Justin Trattou
Tom Johnson will be getting the start at defensive tackle in place of the injured Floyd. Not surprisingly, running back Adrian Peterson is active and will start despite being downgraded on the injury report yesterday afternoon with an illness. Stefon Diggs will also start at wide receiver, though Charles Johnson is active (along with all of the rest of Minnesota's wide receivers).
And now, on to the home team.
Detroit Lions
LB DeAndre Levy
OT Michael Ola
TE Brandon Pettigrew
OT Corey Robinson
DT Khyri Thornton
CB Josh WilsonTE Tim Wright DT Gabe Wright
Wilson was listed as questionable for the Lions on their final injury report, so it's no surprise to see him inactive. Interestingly, the Lions are going to be going with only one tight end, Eric Ebron, in light of Wright's deactivation. It turns out that the Lions deactivated Gabe Wright and not Tim Wright. Basically, we gave you the wrong Wright, which is our right.
And those are your inactive lists for both the Vikings and the Lions heading into this afternoon's contest in Detroit. We'll have the Open Thread up and running at approximately 11:00 AM Central time.
