Back in August, we learned that Alan Page, the legendary Minnesota Vikings' defensive tackle, was going to be featured on an episode of the NFL Network series A Football Life. Now, we officially know when the show will debut.

Per the NFL Network, the Alan Page episode of A Football Life will premiere on Friday, 16 October at 8 PM Central time.

From the trailer for the show. . .which the NFL Network won't allow the embedding of via YouTube or anything. . .the show will focus on both Page's success not only on the field. . .including him being the first defensive player to be named NFL Most Valuable Player. . .but also off the field courtesy of the Page Education Foundation and his time on the Minnesota Supreme Court. He recently had to retire from the court, having reached the mandatory retirement age of 70.

No word on whether or not the episode will mention Page being voted the greatest Minnesota Viking of all time by the readers of this very website. I'm not holding my breath or anything, but hey. . .maybe they should. It's true, after all.

But this is one to set your DVRs for, Vikings fans. A Football Life is one of the better things the NFL Network does, and this one should be a must-see.
