FanDuel Week 8: Cha-Ching!

Editor's Note: FanDuel is hosting a FREE Week 8 fantasy football league where half the teams win cash on Sunday. New users only. Join now!

Last week's SB Nation sponsored FanDuel league was for newcomers only. I, obviously, do not fall into that category, so I went and jumped into a different league, one with a $2 entry fee and 250 entrants. As per usual, I wasn't expecting a whole heck of a lot, but I thought I'd give it a go anyway.

For the first time this season, I hit the money. . .and not the little money, but the "big" money. Well, as big as you could expect from a pool with a $2 entry fee, anyway.

I cashed on FanDuel

That's a pretty decent return on investment, and should give me sufficient cash to lose out for the rest of the season participate in tournaments from now until the 2015 season ends.

Here was my lineup from last week.

FanDuel Winning Roster

Thank goodness for garbage time points (Rivers) and bargains (Diggs, Walsh, St. Louis' defense). Just a shame I couldn't get anything out of Chris Ivory.

This week's league through SB Nation is for newcomers as well, so I'm going to up the stakes this week. . .all the way to a $5 league. As noted British philosopher Austin Powers once so eloquently stated. . .I, too, like to live dangerously.

So, here's what I've got for this weekend's action.

FanDuel Week 8 Lineup

Yep, going to keep riding the Stefon Diggs hype train (WOO WOO!) until it goes off the rails. Same applies for Gurley, too. Went with Flacco at quarterback because I wanted to try to save money there for running backs and receivers. That and San Diego has to make the dreaded "East Coast road trip," which has the tendency to not end well. I think that game's going to be a shootout. . .I hope so for the sake of my FanDuel team.

So, how are the Minnesota Vikings looking this week in the world of FanDuel?

Position Player Week 7 Salary Week 8 Salary Change
QB Teddy Bridgewater $6,600 $6,900 +$300
RB Adrian Peterson $8,900 $8,900 $0
RB Jerick McKinnon $5,000 $4,900 -$100
WR Stefon Diggs $5,800 $6,700 +$900
WR Mike Wallace $5,400 $5,300 -$100
WR Jarius Wright $4,900 $4,900 $0
TE Kyle Rudolph $5,000 $4,900 -$100
K Blair Walsh $4,700 $4,900 +$200
D Minnesota $4,600 $4,700 +$100
Totals $50,900 $52,100 +$1,200

Another big jump for Diggs, who has seen his value go up $2,200 over the past couple of weeks (he could be had for $4,500 in Week 6). Nice to see Teddy Bridgewater get a little bit of a jump after his performance in Detroit as well.

That's where I'm looking for FanDuel this week, ladies and gentlemen. Are you getting into a league this weekend?
