When the Minnesota Vikings travel out west to take on the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, they may be fortunate enough to get another major piece of one of the NFL's best defenses back into the fold.
Defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd, who has missed the last three games with a leg injury, declared that he had no problems getting back to practice this week (even though he was listed as being limited on Wednesday) and has vowed that he will be back this Sunday for Minnesota.
In the five games he's played so far this season, Floyd has put up nine tackles and one sack. While those numbers don't look that impressive on the surface, he was playing a major role up front next to Linval Joseph in disrupting opposing defenses offenses. (Thinking is hard sometimes.)
If Floyd can come back on Sunday and at least be a part of the defensive line rotation up front, it will definitely be a help to the Minnesota front seven. If he has anything to say about it, he's going to be back on Sunday. We'll have to wait until then to see if the injury report and/or inactive lists will say otherwise.
