The Vikings will be without one of their best players and the leader of their secondary as Safety Harrison Smith was downgraded from "Questionable" to "Out" this morning. Cornberback Trae Waynes was downgraded to "Out" as well. Smith has been dealing with a knee injury, and Waynes an ankle ailment.
The Vikings had listed both players as Questionable leading up to now, but both were downgraded today:
.@HarriSmith22 and @TWaynes_15 have been downgraded to out for #MINvsATL.

The Vikings secondary will have a tall task without Smith, one of the league's best Safeties, taking on QB Matt Ryan, WR Julio Jones and the Atlanta Falcons offense on Sunday. Many have been clamoring for more time for second-year Safety Antone Exum, but this isn't the ideal scenario for him getting extended playing time.
The Falcons will be competing without one of their best players as well, as Running Back Devonta Freeman has been ruled out.
