Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater and WR Stefon Diggs are up for weekly awards for their performances in the team's 23-20, come from behind win against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field this past Sunday.
From Matt Vensel, the Star Tribune Vikings beat reporter, Bridgewater is up for the Castrol EDGE Clutch Performer of the Week award. Over the course of the last 4:55 of the game, Bridgewater accumulated 60% of his total offensive output for the game, going 6/8 for 105 yards, 1 TD, and a 19 yard run on 2nd and 18 from deep in Minnesota territory. Over the course of those last two drives, the Vikings scored a touchdown and a field goal, defeating the Bears with four seconds left.
Diggs is up for the Pepsi Rookie Of The Week award for the second time in three weeks. He won the award in week six on the heels of a six catch, 129 yard performance against the Chiefs, and although his numbers against the Bears don't equal the Chiefs game, (6 catches, 95 yards, 1 TD) his stunning catch and run touchdown helped rally the Vikings and completely changed the momentum of the game.
Good luck to both Bridgewater and Diggs, and if they win, I hope they will display their major awards as prominently as this gentleman did:
