We're right around ninety minutes away from kickoff at University of Phoenix Stadium, ladies and gentlemen. Both the Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals have released their inactive lists for tonight's contest, so let's take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both sides. As always, we start with the visiting team.
Minnesota Vikings
LB Anthony Barr
C Nick Easton
QB Taylor Heinicke
DT Linval Joseph
S Andrew Sendejo
S Harrison Smith
LB Brandon Watts
With Barr being out, rookie Edmond Robinson will be getting his first career start this evening at linebacker. Tom Johnson will once again get the start on the defensive line at tackle, with Sharrif Floyd moving to Joseph's normal spot at the nose. Robert Blanton, who had been listed as questionable on the injury report, is active, but your starting safeties will be rookie Anthony Harris and Terence Newman. Trae Waynes will be getting his first NFL start tonight in Newman's spot at cornerback. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
And now, on to the home team.
Arizona Cardinals
QB Matt Barkley
RB Andre Ellington
TE Jermaine Gresham
OT D.J. Humphries
CB Jerraud Powers
LB Shaq Riddick
DT Frostee Rucker
I don't believe that Riddick or Humphries were on the injury report for the Cardinals. Ellington, Powers, and Rucker were all listed as out earlier in the week, while Gresham was down as doubtful. So, no real surprises for the Cardinals in this one.
And those are the inactive lists for both the Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals going into tonight's contest, ladies and gentlemen. The Open Thread for the first quarter of play will be up at approximately 6:25 PM Central time, one hour before kickoff.
