We're about ninety minutes away from kickoff at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, and both the Chicago Bears and the Minnesota Vikings have released their inactive lists for today's game. Let's take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both teams, starting with the visiting side.
Chicago Bears
OT Nick Becton
CB Bryce Callahan
OT Tayo Fabuluje
CB Jacoby Glenn
LB Christian Jones
WR Cameron Meredith
RB Antone Smith
Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, who was listed as "questionable" on Friday's injury report, is active and will start for Chicago this afternoon. Jones is one of the Bears' starting linebackers, but he will be sitting this one out. Linebacker Pernell McPhee and tight end Zach Miller are both active for the Bears as well.
And now, to the home team.
Minnesota Vikings
LB Anthony Barr
C Nick Easton
QB Taylor Heinicke
WR Charles Johnson
DT Linval Joseph
OT Jeremiah Sirles
S Harrison Smith
Well, apparently Linval Joseph gave it a go, but the team is holding him out for another game. Presumably, Sharrif Floyd once again slides to the nose tackle spot and Tom Johnson starts at the three technique. Zach Moore, who was just brought up to the active roster yesterday with Scott Crichton going on IR, is active today for the Vikings. Everson Griffen, who was listed as questionable on the injury report, is good to go for today's game.
Anthony Harris will start at one safety spot for the Vikings, and Edmond Robinson will get his second consecutive start at linebacker.
There you have your inactive lists for both sides in this one, folks. We'll have the Open Thread for the first quarter of play up and running for you at the top of the 11 AM Central time hour.
