It's a holiday weekend, and even though most normal fantasy football leagues are either already finished or wrapping up this week, FanDuel gives us another opportunity to get into the world of Daily Fantasy Sports. This week has plenty of interesting match-ups to pick from.
So, after missing the money again last week, here's where I'm looking at this week.
Matthew Stafford looks like a completely different quarterback under the watchful eye of new offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter. (On a related note, if the Lions fire Jim Caldwell, please make Jim Bob Cooter the full-time coach so that I can write about "Coach Jim Bob" or "Coach Cooter" for a couple of seasons, at least.) I have to members of the Pittsburgh Steelers in my lineup, because they should outright thump Baltimore on Sunday, and the Panthers' defense seems like a pretty easy choice. . .after all, they're playing a team that they beat 38-0 a couple of weeks ago.
So, how are members of the Minnesota Vikings trending after their big offensive blowout last weekend against Chicago?
Position | Player | Week 15 Salary | Week 16 Salary | Change |
QB | Teddy Bridgewater | $6,000 | $6,600 | +$600 |
RB | Adrian Peterson | $8,600 | $8,200 | -$400 |
RB | Jerick McKinnon | $4,500 | $5,400 | +$900 |
WR | Stefon Diggs | $5,700 | $6,000 | +$300 |
WR | Mike Wallace | $4,700 | $4,700 | $0 |
WR | Charles Johnson/Cordarrelle Patterson/Jarius Wright | $4,600 | $4,600 | $0 |
TE | Kyle Rudolph | $5,000 | $5,000 | $0 |
K | Blair Walsh | $4,600 | $4,600 | $0 |
D | Minnesota | $4,600 | $4,700 | +$100 |
Totals | $48,300 | $49,800 | +$1,500 |
As you can see, there are a few significant jumps in this week's salaries for members of the purple. McKinnon got the biggest boost of all, courtesy of his relief appearance last week. . .Peterson got a downgrade after last week, but he's still got a shot at a big game on Sunday night. Bridgewater got some recognition for his performance as well, going into a Sunday night match-up against a pretty bad New York defense that should allow him to keep his hot streak going.
That's a look at FanDuel for this week, folks. Who are you putting in your lineup?
