Minnesota Vikings News and Links, 2/26

Malcolm Emmons-USA TODAY Sports

We're getting closer to the end of February, which means we're that much closer to March and the start of free agency, the next big event on the National Football League calendar.

Since the last time we brought you an Open Thread. . .

-The recent controversy surrounding Dallas Cowboys' wide receiver Dez Bryant may prevent Adrian Peterson from trying to make his way to Jerryworld.

-The new home of the Minnesota Vikings could be under consideration to host the crown jewel of sports entertainment.

From some other sources around the internet. . .

-According to, the Minnesota Vikings have five players that "could be cut" leading up to the start of free agency.

-Former Vikings' center Mick Tingelhoff visited the Pro Football Hall of Fame for the first time this weekend. He'll be back in August for his induction.

The rules of the Open Thread are the same as they've ever been, ladies and gentlemen. . .no politics, no religion, no feeding of the trolls, keep the bad language to a minimum (using spoiler tags, if necessary), and keep the pictures work-safe and appropriately-sized.

And now, on to today's video.

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open for this Thursday, ladies and gentlemen. Enjoy the rest of your day, and we'll be back with more later on!
