A few days ago, the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills came to terms on a deal that would send quarterback Matt Cassel to upstate New York, along with a sixth-round draft choice, in exchange for a fifth-round pick this year and Buffalo's seventh-round pick in 2016.
The trade was set to be completed today, the first day of the league year, pending a physical. There's only one small problem.
Apparently, according to numerous reports, Cassel has not reported to Buffalo to take said physical yet.

Bill Polian is suggesting the trade for #Vikings QB Matt Cassel is not going as well as was expected. It may fall through. #nfl #Bills

I'm not sure if there's a time limit on when Cassel has to report for his physical or not. If he doesn't report. . .well, I'm sure it will be as if the trade never happened and the Vikings and Bills will get their original draft choices back. Of course, that doesn't explain what the Vikings would then do with Shaun Hill, who they signed to be Teddy Bridgewater's backup today.
Seriously, if you see Matt Cassel, tell him he's got an appointment in Buffalo that he's missing. Maybe he can carpool with Jerome Felton, who signed with Buffalo today.
