The first ever "Veteran Combine" for free agents that might be a bit under the radar and trying to get back into the National Football League will take place on 22 March at the Arizona Cardinals training facility. The Combine will take place in conjunction with the NFL Owners Meetings.
There are a few names on the list that will be familiar to fans of the Minnesota Vikings. Among them are three cornerbacks: Brandon Burton (a fifth-round pick of the Vikings in the 2011 NFL Draft), Kip Edwards (who was on the Vikings' practice squad for a stretch) and cornerback Julian Posey (another practice squad member). They'll be joined by defensive end Rakim Cox and wide receiver Lestar Jean, both of whom were Vikings for approximately fifteen minutes.
The biggest names on the list are defensive end/linebacker Michael Sam and running backs Felix Jones, Michael Bush, and Mikel Leshoure, and defensive end Jamaal Anderson.
You can see the full list of players that will be participating in the Veteran Combine over at NFL.com. Any names in particular that catch your eye?
