I first started writing on the front page of DN the week of the NFC Championship game against the Saints...and the Vikings lost. So maybe I should have ended it then. But for some reason, you guys (well, most of you) seemed to like reading what I wrote almost as much as I liked writing it, so I kept going.
Life, unfortunately, gets in the way of the really fun stuff, and such is the case here. I'm stepping down as a front page writer for DN, as I really don't have 27 hours in a day anymore, but I just wanted to say thanks before I exit, stage left.
Thanks to Chris Gates for letting me write for his site. The fact that DN has allowed me to live out a childhood dream of covering the Vikings, interviewing players, and attending the draft and training camp as an accredited media member is something that I will take with me for the rest of my life.
But it also allowed me to become friends with Chris, Eric, Kyle, Mark, CC, Skol Girl, and Di, and those are friendships that are just as meaningful as anything I ever got to do as an official media member.
And it also allowed me to make friends, at least I hope, with all of you. Thank you, the great members of The Daily Norseman, for making this the best Minnesota Vikings community on the Internet. Your passion, your humor, and your love for the Vikings is an inspiration, and you make me proud to be a Vikings fan.
But all good things come to an end. Or, in my case, even mediocre things, And so we shall now end this as well.
You guys take care, and Skol VIkings.
Thanks for reading.
