The new Minnesota Vikings' stadium, which is getting close to the halfway point of completion, appears as though it's going to be full for quite a while.
The team has announced that there have been over 33,000 season ticket commitments to the new stadium already. The announcement comes on the one-year anniversary of the team opening their new Stadium Preview Center in the Twin Cities for people to get a sneak preview of what the new digs are going to look like.
According to Jeff Anderson, the team's Executive Director of Communications, over 70% of those that had season tickets at the Metrodome have made the transition to the new stadium. Sort of reminds me of one of those coffee commercials from the late 80s/early 90s.
We've secretly replaced these fans' season tickets with tickets at an actual NFL stadium. Let's see if they notice the difference.
The team's new stadium will be ready to go for the start of the 2016 NFL season. The team is running a live stream of the construction that you can see right here.
