Vegas Betting On An Adrian Peterson Return

They say that you can bet on just about anything these days, and according to our friends at the Bovada Sportsbook, you can now even bet on which team running back Adrian Peterson will be playing for in 2015.

The sharps on the Strip have made the Minnesota Vikings a pretty sizeable favorite to retain Peterson's services, giving them 5/6 odds, or a better-than-even chance that he will be in purple again next season. Bovada lists five other teams as potential destinations for Peterson. . .and, not coincidentally, they're the five teams that he would (reportedly) be willing to restructure his contract in order to facilitate a trade to.

Bovada's odds for those teams are as follows:

Dallas Cowboys - 9/4
Indianapolis Colts - 5/1
Arizona Cardinals - 9/1
San Diego Chargers - 10/1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - 10/1

I guess you can't really go "off the board" and bet on, say, the Seattle Seahawks or Jacksonville Jaguars or something. The Vikings can, in theory, trade Peterson to any team they wish if that's the route they want to go. Still, if the rumors are true, those five teams would appear to be the most likely destinations.
