With the 2015 NFL Draft hitting Chicago just two weeks from tomorrow. . .which still isn't soon enough, quite frankly. . .the NFL has released the list of prospects that they have invited to attend the festivities at the Auditorium Theater of Roosevelt University. Twenty-six of the top prospects will be there, and here's the full list in alphabetical order.
The prospective top two picks in the draft, quarterbacks Jameis Winston of Florida State and Marcus Mariota of Oregon, have both publicly stated that they would not be attending the draft, citing the desire to stay home with their families on the biggest day of their football careers. Other players at or near the top of their positions that also won't be in Chicago include Georgia running back Todd Gurley (who could be the first running back off the board), Alabama wide receiver Amari Cooper (who will likely be the first receiver drafted) and Minnesota tight end Maxx Williams, the consensus top tight end available.
How many of the players on this list do you think the Minnesota Vikings will end up with in two weeks, folks? And who do you think will be the last person out of the "Green Room" this year? I think that, for the latter, my answer would be Cameron Erving, but we've been surprised by that before.
