Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the penultimate edition of the 2015 Minnesota Vikings Mock Draft Database. We'll have this version and one next Saturday, and that will likely be it before the actual 2015 NFL Draft gets underway in Chicago. There's a small chance that I could knock out another one before next Saturday (which would be the 25th) and the draft (which starts on the 30th), but will all the other stuff that needs to be done to prepare for the draft, I'm not going to guarantee anything.
We're still at 100 mock drafts for our database, and nearly half of them are dated after last week's update, so we have plenty of turnover this time around. How much change will there be? Well, let's take a look at this week's table to find out.

So, there are a few small changes this week, and it will be interesting to see if those are part of a larger trend going into next week's final version.
The defensive backs continue to lead the way this time around, but for the first time in a while, they've dropped below 50% of the entire donut, as they garnered 49 of the 100 overall selections this time around (49%). Michigan State cornerback Trae Waynes continues to lead the way, but for the first time in our database his share has actually decreased. Waynes was at 44 selections last week, but this week has dropped to 41 (41%). Washington cornerback Marcus Peters now has the second-highest total among the defensive backs, as he moved from three selections last week to four this week (4%). Alabama safety Landon Collins fell a bit, as he only has two selections this week (2%). The lone new face in our database this week belongs to Wake Forest cornerback Kevin Johnson, who ended up with one selection (1%).
Wide receivers continued to hold on to the second spot, though their lead over the offensive linemen is getting slimmer. The pass catchers got 24 of our 100 selections this week (24%). Louisville receiver DeVante Parker continues to lead the field, but saw his percentage drop from last week. He dropped from 19 selections to 17 (17%). Kevin White of West Virginia and Amari Cooper of Alabama each wound up with three selections this week (3% each), as White lost one selection from last week's database while Cooper gained one. Dorial Green-Beckham hangs on to his one selection from last week (1%).
The offensive line is getting closer to the receivers, but it's unlikely they'll catch them by the time next week rolls around. Offensive linemen received 18 selections this week, paced by Iowa guard/tackle Brandon Scherff. Scherff managed to inch up to 10 selections this week (10%), making him just the third person in the database to reach double figures. Andrus Peat of Stanford and La'el Collins of LSU each picked up one selection this week, moving them to four and three, respectively (4%, 3%). Ereck Flowers from "The U" held on to his one selection from last week as well (1%).
The defensive linemen held steady from last week, totaling five selections this time around (5%), but they're configured slightly differently. Shane Ray of Missouri and Alvin Dupree of Kentucky each find themselves with two selections this week (2% each), as that came from Ray losing one selection from last week and Dupree gaining one. Florida defensive end Dante Fowler held steady at one selection (1%).
No changes at the other two positions, as Todd Gurley and Melvin Gordon each retained their two selections from last week (2% each) to give the running back position four selections, while Vic Beasley of Clemson remains the lone linebacker in the database this time around with his one selection (1%).
Nobody dropped out of the database this week, and Kevin Johnson was the one new name, as mentioned earlier.
So, let's move on to the graphics, starting with the donut graph comprised of this week's selections.
And now, the Jell-o salad graph that shows the trends that we've witness over the last ten weeks concerning the Minnesota Vikings and the #11 overall pick.
And there you have our Mock Draft Database for this week, ladies and gentlemen. What do you think?
