2015 Minnesota Vikings Mock Draft Database, v10.0

This, in all likelihood, will be the final version of the 2015 Minnesota Vikings Mock Draft Database. Time permitting, I might try to sneak one in with all the other draft prep that we'll have going on for this week, but I'm not going to promise anything I'm not 100% sure that I can deliver on. We'll have to play this one by ear.

In this version, we're still at 100 mocks, and half of them are dated after the completion of v9.0 from last week. How much have things shifted? Has anyone even managed to put a tiny dent in the lead that Trae Waynes has over the rest of the field?

Well, here's the listing of mocks for this week.

So, let's take a look at what we have data-wise.

The defensive backs continue to crush the field, as they have once again jumped over 50% of the entire donut, picking up 51 of our selections this week (51%). After a slight slip last week, Trae Waynes rebounded to take his highest percentage of votes yet, as he wound up with 46 selections this week (46%), cementing himself as the overall leader by a wide margin. Two of the three other defensive backs actually saw their support drop this week. Marcus Peters went from four selections to three (3%), while Landon Collins fell from two selections to one (1%). Kevin Johnson held steady with his one selection from last week (1%).

Wide receiver continue to hold on to second place, as they hold 26 of our 100 selections this week (26%). DeVante Parker picked up two more selections this week to move up to 19 picks (19%). Everyone else on the wide receiver side held steady this week. Kevin White and Amari Cooper each held on to three selections (3% each), while Dorial Green-Beckham kept his one selection (1%).

The offensive linemen are still in third place, but saw their share of things drop to just 13 of our 100 selections (13%). Brandon Scherff stayed in double digits, finishing this week's tally with ten selections as he did last week (10%). La'el Collins lost a selection to drop from three to two (2%). Andrus Peat suffered the biggest drop, as he fell from four selections last week to just one this week (1%).

Defensive linemen are up next with five selections this week (5%). Shane Ray picked up an extra selection to move from two to three this week (3%), while Alvin Dupree lost one to drop to just one selection (1%). For the second time in this process, Dante Fowler fell out of our table, and was replaced by our lone new face this week. Nebraska defensive end Randy Gregory picked up one selection this week to find himself in our countdown for the first time (1%).

The running backs still garnered the same four selections that they did last week, but they're configured differently. Todd Gurley picked up an extra selection to move from two to three (3%), while Melvin Gordon lost one to drop from two to one (1%).

Last, but not least, Vic Beasley continues to be the lone linebacker on our list for this week, as he held steady at one selection (1%).

Two players fell off of the list this week. We mentioned Dante Fowler earlier, and Miami offensive tackle Ereck Flowers is also not on our list any more. Randy Gregory is the only new face this week.

With the addition of Gregory, there wound up being 23 different players projected to the Minnesota Vikings with the #11 overall selection in the first round throughout the pre-draft process. The colors representing 17 of those 23 players are visible on this week's donut graph, which gives a visual representation of the table listed above. Here's a look at that.

And finally, we have the Jell-o salad graph, which shows the fortunes of all 23 of those players over the weeks that we've covered, including when they debuted, if they dropped out, and how much of a share they had as time went on.

Minnesota Vikings Mock Draft Database Trends v10.0

We hope you've enjoyed the third year of our Minnesota Vikings Mock Draft Database, and have found it useful for determining how the experts see our favorite football team in the days, weeks, and months leading up to the NFL Draft. We'll be back with it again next year as well. But that's what we've got for this week and this off-season, folks. Have at it!
