Since it is Thirsty Thursday, let's move the 30 Day Challenge to the local watering hole, shall we?
Today's topic is this:
Which member of the Minnesota Vikings, past or present, would you want to sit down, have a beer, and just talk about football (or whatever) with?
Like most teams, the Vikings have certainly had their share of characters and big personalities in their history. I'm sure that a lot of the older players would have some great stories to tell from their days as a member of the purple. But I think that, if I could pick just one, I'd have to go with Hall of Fame defensive tackle John Randle.
Randle just seems like the kind of guy that you could sit down and shoot the bull with for just about any length of time. He's the sort of outgoing, gregarious type of guy that would be able to spin some pretty good tales and would be willing to answer lots of questions about his time with the Vikings and in the National Football League.
John Randle is obviously one of the great players in Minnesota Vikings' history, and in NFL history. He was part of a team that was on the cusp of being one of the NFL's great teams (the 1998 team) and had the opportunity to play with lots of Hall of Famers and future Hall of Famers. And if you got to hang out with John Randle, you could ask him about the really important stuff. . .like his incredible sewing and chicken chasing skills.
Commercial is still awesome, by the way.
So, if I could hang out and have a few drinks with any past or present Minnesota Viking, I think that my choice would definitely have to be John Randle. How about you folks out there? Who would your choice be?
