The new Minnesota Vikings' stadium is soooooooooooooo hot. . .
HOW HOT IS IT!?
I'm glad you asked! It's soooooooooooooo hot, that there was an actual, honest-to-goodness fire at the construction site today, according to WCCO.
A plume of smoke could be seen late Friday morning at the site.
The construction firm working on project confirmed there had been fire, which workers extinguished immediately.
The workers were welding metal decks and sparks fell onto nearby insulation material, said a representative from Mortenson.
Apparently the blaze didn't come from construction workers furiously texting "#VoteDozier" on their phones before today's MLB All-Star voting deadline. Though that wouldn't have been surprising, either.
The most important thing in all of this is that nobody was hurt in the fire, which folks online are saying looked much worse than it actually was. The crews continued work on the building immediately after the fire was extinguished. Honestly, if there had been any injuries, this post would have been written in a much more serious light.
Construction on the stadium, which is now approximately 60% complete, will continue unabated.
