I guess that, when you've been in a relationship long enough, you really do just totally forget about the major events, because I totally blew past this one yesterday.
Yes, it was on 10 July all the way back in 2006 that the first article went live on this very website. Way back then, the site looked like this:

Check the poll. . .yeah, there really was a time that anyone thought that Billy McMullen had a chance to lead any football team in receiving yardage. Yeesh.
But yes, it has been nine whole years since this site made its debut on SB Nation. Since then, per the best numbers that I can find, it has served up nearly 30 million visits and over 61 million page views.
It hasn't always been easy, but I think we've managed to keep a pretty good thing going over all that time. Sure, the team hasn't won nearly as much as any of us would like during the time this site has been live, but it's been an interesting ride in any case.
I want to thank all of the members of the front page writing staff, past and present, that have contributed to this site's success over the years. There's no way in hell that I could have done this by myself, and the people that write for this site are the best damn group of people you're going to find anywhere.
I would also like to thank everyone that has made this site a part of their daily/weekly/whatever browsing over the years. We appreciate the fact that you find this site entertaining and informative enough to continue frequenting our humble little corner of the internet.
