Mick Tingelhoff To Speak Third At Hall Of Fame Induction

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

This Saturday, the outstanding career of Minnesota Vikings' center Mick Tingelhoff will finally be rewarded with his enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. If you're wanting to make sure you catch his induction, you won't have to wait all that long.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press is reporting that Tingelhoff will speak third on Saturday night. The ceremony will start at 6:00 PM Central time, so I would imagine that Tingelhoff will likely be on by about 6:30 PM or so.

Here is the order of inductions for this Saturday's ceremony.

-Ron Wolf (GM, Green Bay Packers)
-Charles Haley (DE, San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys)
-Mick Tingelhoff (C, Minnesota Vikings)
-Will Shields (G, Kansas City Chiefs)
-Bill Polian (GM, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts)
-Tim Brown (WR, Los Angeles/Oakland Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
-Junior Seau (LB, San Diego Chargers, Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots)
-Jerome Bettis (RB, Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams, Pittsburgh Steelers. . .and, in case you didn't know, he's from Detroit)

As we reported to you a while back, Tingelhoff will be presented by his good friend, quarterback Fran Tarkenton. I'm not sure who will be presenting anyone else, to be honest, with the exception of Junior Seau. Seau's daughter will, in fact, be allowed to speak at the ceremony after much controversy on the matter. Many of Tingelhoff's former Minnesota teammates will be in attendance as well.

The ceremony will be broadcast on the NFL Network.
