We're coming down the stretch in the final quarter of the Week 1 slate of NFL games. And to be honest, we just want it to be over at this point. The San Francisco 49ers lead the Minnesota Vikings by a score of 10-0.

First, we'll give you the Vikings highlights of the third quarter:

...um, they're in field goal range right now!

And that concludes our Vikings highlights from the third quarter. I hope you enjoyed them.

Seriously, there was nothing of note accomplished by the Vikings in the entire stanza. They still have zero poitns but they're in the red zone to start the 4th quarter.

In the meantime, the 49ers were able to increase their lead after another long drive featuring simple run and rollout concepts that culminated in a 30-yard Phil Dawson field goal.

Can the Vikings make a comeback? Follow along and see!
